Today we’d like to introduce you to Jashaun Melton
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started doing hair two years ago because I got tired of people doing my hair wrong. I started off only doing my hair, but I got so many compliments, that I’m like I should really start doing hair. So in December thanks to my bestie for encouraging me I started sharing my gift with the world.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No it has not. Most people are already locked in with their stylist at this point, so getting new clients has been a little struggle. That will not stop me though my work will speak for it self.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in loc repairs. I am most proud of how even though the road is not clear that I am not giving up. People just don’t know I do hair and once they do I will be one of the top Locticians in the city.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Yes I’ve taken a major risk by taking this on full time, so the grind is extra real. I love taking risk because most of the time the outcome is never what you expected and this experience I didn’t expect nothing that has happened but very grateful
