Check Out Brenai Brown’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brenai Brown

Hi Brenai, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am an aspiring Plus-Size Model, Influencer, and Medical Assistant. Born and raised in St. louis MO, now Dallas TX paid!
Since a child I’ve always been “chubby”. In a cruel world that defines fat as “ugly”, growing up a chubby girl was very hard for me. My parents, who I couldn’t have started my journey without, always reminded me that I was beautiful no matter how the world saw me. In high school I started to embrace my weight and once I graduated, I grew super confident in being a plus sized girly! Not long after being out of high school I took my first professional photoshoot. That photoshoot was the start of my modeling journey that I’ve been flourishing in for 6 years now. What I didn’t know 6 years ago was how much of an influence I was going to make moving to Texas. In 2019, right before the pandemic, my family and I moved to Dallas TX. As they say everything is bigger in Texas, so I fit right in! Within my first year in Dallas my modeling, social media, and finances took off. To date I’ve worked with many great photographers, models, and influencers. My story is how I turned what God gave me into a career. Bringing positivity and light to the Plus Size community

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have been many bumps in the road, but it has still been a fun ride! Confidence is still a struggle for me, especially since I have a big audience. Social media is bittersweet because for all the support, opportunities, and exposure you get there is so much shame and rejection. I am still exploring and expanding so it’s been a task to find my niche. What content is most valuable to my audience? What type of content I’m the best at creating? Being a content creator while being a full time healthcare professional is also challenging. I think spiritually it’s a challenging journey. I believe in God and try my best to influence the world without doing the evil things of this world.
There are so many more struggles but those are a few major ones I’m dealing with

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Medical Assistant and Plus Size influencer/model. Everyone knows me as Nugget (stage name) in real life and on social media. I believe what sets me apart from others is the way I live in my truth. The world’s expectations are unrealistic. I believe in being authentic no matter your looks, background, or what you stand for. Thats what I am known for, that is the influence that I give. I am not like anyone else, and I am proud of that!

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to stay true to yourself and not give up. Nobody will have your back like you will. You owe the world nothing, but you owe everything to yourself! A journey is not a straight line so don’t get discouraged when you hit those bumps. It’s all a part of your growth which leads to success if you keep going. I’ve learned that everyone will not see your vision or like what you present and that’s ok. You won’t be an influence on everyone but if your work changes one person’s life, you’ve done a great job!
