Check Out Angie Monko’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angie Monko

Hi Angie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in household with domestic violence, and then I lost my Aunt Elaine when I was 6 (she was 16). We were born on the same day, and because I said some mean things to her 2 weeks before she died, I felt I was going to die when I turned 16. So my nervous system felt very unsafe in the world.

Subconsciously, I chose to be a CPA because numbers felt controllable, but people and Life weren’t. I worked for 20 years in both public accounting and corporate America. Then I found Overeaters Anonymous, and I quickly became a sponsor to help others work this spiritual program. After a few years, someone from that program suggested I be a life coach. That’s how I transitioned into coaching. I left my corporate job after 3 years and pursued women’s empowerment coaching full time, creating Harmony Harbor Coaching.

My career began with a bang in 2011 as I joined a BNI group and made some amazing connections that sustained my business for years. Then in 2018, I lost my only biological child, Maddie, to cystic fibrosis at 22 years old. It devastated me emotionally. For years, I struggled with finances because our state of energy IS our business, and mine was down in the dumps.

I was tired of the struggle. I prayed to God for help, and I was shown Digital Growth Community. I am now combining my skills as a coach and CPA to promote 4 done-for-you educational programs, where I can earn passive income, and teach others to do the same. My niche is women in their second act who have suffered a serious loss of a loved one and want to regain their mojo and financial security.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s not been a smooth road. I explained how the loss of my daughter, Maddie, almost brought me down. I continued to try really hard the 5 years following to thrive. I found a business partner that lasted for 2 years, but then she quit when she had her second son. Then I tried marketing on Pinterest, hired a coach, changed my niche, and that fell flat after a 2 year effort.

At this point, I was burnt out. I couldn’t understand why my efforts weren’t producing fruit. This year I realized it’s because I was in a trauma response of hyper productivity. When I surrendered and just let go of comparing my self worth to my net worth, I found a new opportunity and community in Digital Growth Community.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in helping women in their second act who have lost someone who was their everything to regain their mojo and feel like themselves again.

I can do this in a couple of ways.

1) I can help them to heal their energy body, the stuck energy from the trauma of their loss. I love all things energy. I’m a certified hypnotist, certified healing code practitioner, and Emotional Freedom Techniques or tapping expert. I’m also well-versed in Donna Eden energy medicine. I help them to feel safe in their body and life experience.

2) I can help them financially through Digital Growth Community, to create an online business where they work smart 2 hours daily and receive excellent pay, using an automated, proven blueprint. After loss, we need things to be simple. And though doing this business requires learning new skills, it’s very doable.

I’m proud of the fact that I never gave up. I knew I’d find my path again, and I did. I love coaching and empowering women to be their best selves, to love their lives again, or perhaps for the first time.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I listen to a lot of podcasts. I really like Kate Northrup’s podcast; she’s a business and money mindset coach who really gets energy. I’m a big fan of Robyn Openshaw, the Green Smoothie Girl, a stellar health coach. I’ve learned so much over the years on how to properly detox and empower my health.
