Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Weeks
Hi Emily, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Growing up in a small town in Nebraska, I had never heard of an esthetician. It wasn’t until I moved to St. Louis in 2013 that I discovered the field and knew immediately that this was my calling. After graduating from the Skin Institute in 2015, I landed my first job at Lifespa inside Lifetime Fitness, where I was thrilled to combine my passions for skincare and health. In 2017, I took the opportunity to work alongside a plastic surgeon, spending seven years honing my skills, building confidence, and discovering my professional identity. Then, in 2023, I took the leap and opened my own suite—Emily Rose Aesthetics.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Has it been a smooth road? Not at all. Life is full of ups and downs, and despite what social media might show, I’m not always smiling. I believe in being authentic with my followers and clients about the challenges I face every day. In 2018, I was diagnosed with Sjögren’s syndrome, and I also live with anxiety and depression. Managing an autoimmune condition while navigating mental health struggles is no easy task, but it’s taught me resilience and the importance of balance.
I’m incredibly grateful for the career I’ve built. It not only fuels my passion but also gives me the flexibility I need—whether it’s for doctor appointments or simply allowing myself the downtime my body requires.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I take great pride in my work, with the goal of ensuring that every client leaves feeling more beautiful, deeply relaxed, and empowered with knowledge about their skin. I exclusively use Eminence, a luxurious, all-organic skincare line, because I believe it’s crucial to understand what we apply to our skin. Eminence is truly ‘food for the skin,’ crafted from farm-to-table ingredients. My aim is to offer treatments that deliver medical-grade results while providing the serene, rejuvenating experience of a luxury spa.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I grew up in the world of theater, and some of my most cherished memories come from my time spent within those walls.
