Conversations with Daniel Gonzalez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Gonzalez

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I had been working for a landscape company as a account manager, but I was not happy with what I was doing.
My passion was cooking. Although I didn’t like the manager side of things it helped me to grow in the understanding of business.

A good Friend of mine Murad Yacoub with Zacchi food truck brought it to my attention that a truck was available at a good price. I brought it to my wife’s, we talked it over and prayed over the idea of a food truck. We felt that it was time to pull the trigger and go for it.

We knew we wanted to do tacos. (Mexican-American food.)

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest and hardest thing to do was taking the first step, leaving my job. leaving the security of a weekly paycheck for the unknown.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My wife (Arica) and I have put together a great menu with flavorful ingredients.
Although are tacos are the main focus our loaded waffle fries and burrito are a big hit. Are customers are surprised at how big they are.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Putting God first in all that I do. Without him I can do nothing.
