Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Ruby
Hi Tiffany, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey began with a love for art and creativity, which I’ve carried with me since childhood. I initially pursued makeup, drawn to the precision and artistry it requires, but over time, I realized I could combine my skills with a passion for beauty to help people feel more confident in their own skin.
This led me to train in permanent makeup, and eventually begin tattooing. Starting my own private studio almost 5 years ago now for makeup, and seen where it’s grown today was a dream come true—it allowed me to create a space where clients feel comfortable, cared for, and empowered.
Along the way, I’ve focused on continuous learning and staying ahead of trends, which has helped me refine my craft and build a loyal client base. Giving back to the community has also been important to me, like hosting events to support local charities.
Today, I’m proud to offer services that enhance natural beauty while simplifying daily routines, and I’m excited to continue growing and evolving in this industry.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has taught me something valuable. When I first started, one of the biggest struggles was building trust and credibility in a competitive industry. Establishing myself as a skilled and trustworthy artist took time and effort.
Another challenge was balancing the creative side of my work with the business side. Running a studio requires more than just talent—it’s about marketing, managing finances, and creating a consistent client experience. Learning how to wear all those hats was a steep learning curve.
There were also moments of self-doubt, especially early on, when I questioned whether I was making the right choices or progressing fast enough. But those moments pushed me to invest in training, seek feedback, and stay committed to my vision.
Despite the hurdles, the support from my clients and community has been incredible. Seeing the confidence and happiness my work brings to others makes every challenge worth it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work focuses on enhancing natural beauty. I specialize in creating subtle, customized results that complement each client’s unique features, helping them feel confident and polished every day without a heavy makeup routine.
What I’m most proud of is the trust my clients place in me. What I do is deeply personal, and knowing that people feel comfortable in my care is incredibly rewarding. I’m also proud of creating a private studio environment that feels welcoming and stress-free, where clients can relax and enjoy the process.
What sets me apart is my artistic background and attention to detail. I approach every service like creating a work of art, blending precision with creativity. I also prioritize education—both for myself and my clients. I stay up-to-date on techniques and trends while ensuring clients fully understand the process and aftercare for the best results.
Ultimately, my goal is to provide more than just a service; I want to create an experience that leaves clients feeling beautiful, confident, and cared for.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t believe in luck either—I see success as the result of preparation, hard work, and continuous learning. For me, “luck” is simply about creating opportunities through persistence and being ready to seize them when they arise.
In my business, I’ve faced challenges that some might call “bad luck,” like navigating new experiences, or unexpected obstacles. But I view those moments as opportunities to adapt, refine my skills, and build resilience. Similarly, what others might see as “good luck,” like connecting with loyal clients or finding the right training programs, is really the result of showing up, staying consistent, and always striving to deliver my best.
By focusing on “labor under correct knowledge,” I’ve been able to grow my business intentionally and create a foundation that feels strong and sustainable. It’s about putting in the effort, learning from every experience, and staying committed to the vision I have for my work.
