Today we’d like to introduce you to Keegan Walker
Hi Keegan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Ego Death formed in late 2022 with the intention of being a solo project. However, after showing the music to various producers, musicians, and other close sources. I decided to make it a band with the intention of playing performing live, as well as attempting to have it reach music listeners across the world. It was a slow build, but I needed to make sure I found the right people to play in this band with me.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Unfortunately post 2020-2022 the music industry has drastically changed. With inflation, everyone has increased prices. It also took me over a year to find dedicated members that love Metalcore and hardcore as much as I do. However, we have overcame those obstacles and now we’re on the right track for potential success.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am currently a personal trainer for a company called Next Generation Personal Training at a gym called Ark Fitness based out of Mechanicsburg, PA. I also work from home as an administrative assistant for a marketing company called Green Envy Marketing. Both of these jobs allow full flexibility for me to do Ego Death, which I’m eternally great for!
I love training clients. It’s extremely fulfilling. With Green Envy, there is also a lot of more opportunities to get paid. Not just a basic salary. The harder I work, the more I get paid, which motivates me.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Integrity, honesty, and being humble. If you lack those 3 things. No one will want to work with you. No one likes people who cut corners, screw people over, and walk around with giant egos.
