Life & Work with Tyger Símone of Belleville Illinois

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyger Símone

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It all started from a prayer! I got my first job and prayed to God to never have to work again. Soon after, I found my gift. Hair! One of my best friends asked me to do her a ponytail, I posted it, and I blew up. Before then I had never done hair. The beauty industry was never even a thought for me. Now I’m a well known, well respected, hairstylist and entrepreneur.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely been a rough ride. Being a business owner in general is tough, especially a young business owner. You get a lot of “No’s” and alot of people don’t take you and your business as seriously. At times I thought about giving up.. I actually did give up. The slow seasons, long nights, tears, being under booked and over looked takes a toll on a persons spirit. Hair is where my heart is, so I keep pushing through, I have faith everything will work out for me and my business in the end.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a hairstylist. I specialize in ponytails. Specifically known for working with natural hair to achieve flawless sleek results. Many hairstylist turn away natural clients, I welcome them with open arms. 99% of my clientele are natural. That’s what sets me apart. I’m most proud of gaining Jayda cheaves mom, Ms.Tricia, as a client.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as happiness, health, and wealth. Being able to do what I want when I want, loving my career, living a happy, healthy, prosperous life.
