Meet Barbara Stewart of Columbus

Today we’d like to introduce you to Barbara Stewart

Barbara , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hello, my name is Barbara, I started in the creative space at a young age when I was a kid I was in love with fashion and self expression I started with fashion and sketching clothing design as well as other art pieces, I later walked in a few local fashion shows one in which was sponsored by Macy’s, I always had a love of art and knew I didn’t fit in normally with other students my head was always in a book, if i wasn’t doing that I was sketching my new editorial collection, my dream always aligned with pushing my new goals in the hopes of creating a business and creating what is now called a personal brand.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No it has never been a smooth road when I was younger I lived in one of the bad areas of my city I never really thought I would be able to leave though my dreams were big the opportunity felt small,I didn’t have much money and sometimes didn’t have any at all.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
This section was a little hard to answer because I can really fit into all of them! I am a business owner,Beauty professional and a creative. I graduated cosmetology in 2015 and had been doing that for many years, so after I started creating content in the social media space because I was to sure my creative side and share my life with others lastly I am the owner of pretty limit beauty a online retail store. I would say i specialize in beauty over not only because I love the industry but i love the expression and the feeling it brings to people. I am most proud of my business pretty limit beauty because of what it means not just because I made, people don’t know the the name actually has a bigger meaning I made it at a point when I was low and it was a voice to bring the power back, the brand stands for being pretty and limitless beyond beauty, the represent women strength beyond what’s see on the outside. What sets me apart from others is my ability to dream and challenge what is means to be yourself and different, reminding people that it’s okay to be what or who you are, also i believe what sets me apart it i want to be able to touch everything i want to open every door that’s available for me to open i don’t want to miss any opportunities that come my way.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as how you feel you’re only as successful as you feel. You can have everything and still feel like you haven’t reached success. I believe when people reach contentment in their success they have reached success.
