Today we’d like to introduce you to Liz Haberberger.
Hi Liz, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve lived in St. Charles/St. Louis my whole life and came out of school as an elementary school teacher. I taught fourth grade for four years before deciding it was not what I was supposed to do. I got into Dale Carnegie in 2015 as a part-time Operations leader. Once getting into the business, I quickly became a certified trainer and got into the client engagement side of the business.
In 2018, I took over the day-to-day operations of the business and decided to own the St. Louis territory in January 2020. The next year in March 2021, we expanded our territory and now are responsible for St. Louis and Kansas City.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There has been a lot of transitions and changes in the last six years. COVID was extremely difficult for us (being a heavily in-person training company). We also have had several personal issues on our team which pulled people into roles they aren’t typically in. We have an incredible team that is resilient, agile, and passionate about what we do.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Dale Carnegie?
We know what it’s like to doubt yourself and wonder how much you are capable of. Dale Carnegie helps you with the hard stuff. The things that really matter. The way we connect with others, build trusting relationships, influence those in our lives, and have difficult conversations.
We help individuals, teams, and organizations develop their leadership, management, communication, and sales skills. We are known for creating lasting transformation and delivering interactive and engaging experiences. To make any lasting change, we know there has to be both a behavior change and an emotional change. We live by the quote, “If you want to do better, you have to be better.”.
We are proud of our longevity, being in business for over 100 years, transforming lives from individuals to large Fortune 500 companies. Dale Carnegie believed people are mostly made up of strengths. Whatever challenges you’re facing, you have the tools to handle them. You might just need a little help to bring them out. We can help you get there!
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success happens when what you are good at overlaps with what you love. People who show up with a positive attitude and have fun are almost always successful.
