Daily Inspiration: Meet Erin Ridge

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Ridge.

Hi Erin, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I grew up in Poplar Bluff, MO. I moved to STL when I got into culinary school, I wanted to be a chef for a long time. After working in the industry for a few years I decided to try my hand at my other passion, photography. I started with weddings and the added genres. I eventually started my own business, in 2020 no less, and that’s been my life basically for the last year and a half, Ten Eleven Photography! I also have a full-time job at Whole Foods Market, I am an ATL in the prepared foods department.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road. I’ve definitely learned lessons, life lessons. I’ve learned more strengths and weaknesses about myself more than anything else. It’s still so surreal that I can create whatever path I want. It’s MY company!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am the owner of Ten Eleven Photography. The name comes from my parent’s wedding anniversary. I specialize in weddings, but this year I have done so many more newborns than I ever thought I would! Stay-At-Home Mandates, you know? ha

I think what sets my company apart from other photographers in the business, according to clients, is I offer two photographers with no hourly limit. We are with the bride and groom literally for their entire wedding day. I love that. Don’t get me wrong, very long days are hard, but we get to create the memories for our clients that they will have for the rest of their lives. That’s pretty special, and also intimidating sounding as I type this! Still worth it though.

I think what makes me the proudest about what I offer is when I get reoccurring clients. It shows they trust me and they like what I do, or how I make them feel. I must be doing something right so far!
