Exploring Life & Business with Audrey Dombrowski of GroceryG

Today we’d like to introduce you to Audrey Dombrowski.

Hi Audrey, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
GroceryG started as a graduate school project and a friendly class competition. GroceryG was recognized almost immediately within the Saint Louis University community. At the start, two of us were studying nutrition, on the road to becoming Registered Dietitians and we found a need to provide on-the-go nutrition to individuals as they grocery shop.

After all, that’s where health-conscious decisions are initiated. Our graduate course ended, we graduated, became Registered Dietitians and GroceryG became a solely run “side-hustle.” Now as a sole founder, I continue to model the business just how it was created to be – quick, effective, and personalized nutrition. Grocery tours with a reliable Registered Dietitian are not recognized or highlighted enough, I want to provide an experience for that.

GroceryG continues to gain traction within the St. Louis area and I have built relationships as a confided Registered Dietitian to many.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The original business model of GroceryG remains in existence which is always the main priority. With the growth of time and with endless assets a Registered Dietitian can offer, more opportunities have presented themselves like collaborations with local health influencers, speaking at webinars, and offering concierge-like services for clients.

All opportunities have been from constantly assessing the needs of clients and prospect clients, while still offering grocery tours. Adapting is everything. I try to not think of business happenings as “struggles.” Instead, I find opportunities to adapt. A benefit of GroceryG as being my “side-hustle,” I eliminate the stressors in performing to meet quotas.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about GroceryG?
I offer a 45-minute grocery tour at your store of choice. After inquiry and once completing the initial assessment form, we discuss goals for the tour to best prepare for when we meet in person.

As an enhancement, I offer a 60-minute private nutrition counseling session, where we dive into the details and work together on a custom health plan. Follow-ups are encouraged. We talk before deciding on your nutrition journey and design a route together.

How do you think about luck?
No luck, just commitment and hard work here.
