Today we’d like to introduce you to Core Entertainment Group.
Hi Core Entertainment Group, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Our business grew from a group of college creatives and friends. Who have banned together to become co-owners of what we now know as Core Entertainment Group LLC. We start with our head of photography and visual media, Bino. He has always been behind the camera since we all met in college. He does all of our photographs and music visuals from the vision of the shoot to actually putting it into action he comes up with all the inspiration for our visual media. We then move to the head of graphics and design Abrian. Abrian is our multimedia and graphics guru. He creates all of the businesses cover art for its artists as well as all flyers for events and does web design as well. He is the cornerstone for our media representation and music cover art. We then move on to the artists for Core Entertainment, malcolmxavier and Qartier Q. malcolmxavier and Qartier Q are hip hop/ rap recording artists who are co-owners along with Bino and Abrian of the entertainment group. These artists have recorded several EPs as well as done several performances under the company’s umbrella. With these four forces of entertainment working together we put all our talents together to build a cultural entertainment group in hopes of bringing other creatives along to share in the vision of creating music and mass media in the world today. As well as pushing the music and arts & entertainment space to a whole new level in St. Louis, MO
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not always been an easy road for us as an Entertainment Company. Throughout our time together we have had some struggles that stonewalled and could have folded us an Entertainment outlet. With only having four members who are creatives as well as trying to run a business it has taken time and some growing pains for us to be where we are now as far as being to the point of being ready to bring in other artistic acts, media designers, photographers, and videographers. We have overcome the obstacles that once stood before us and are in a place where we are creating and generating new and fresh opportunities for not only ourselves but others as well.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At this time, we specialize in the music space of art in all aspects. Whether it be recording music or performing that is what Core Entertainment is currently known for. We have some of the best independent artists working under the company’s umbrella musically as well as one of St. Louis’ most well-known photographers. We have hopes to move into the other areas of entertainment such as dance, comedy, poetry, etc. We are looking to help others take part in what we call our “Self-Made & Self Paid” approach to the entertainment industry. With entertainment being one of the hardest industries to breakthrough in we have taken it upon ourselves to break into it all on our own. We do everything in-house from graphics to visuals etc. We lean on each other to make each artistic vision happen no matter how big or small, or how great the financial costs may be. We do this for everyone we work with to make sure they get a true sense of freedom with their creativity. We are an entertainment group that is truly for its artists and want everyone who comes in contact with Core Entertainment group to feel free to explore all aspects of their craft and know they have the ability to grow when they are a part of this company or even do work with our company.
How do you think about luck?
We like to say we have had some of the best luck ever. It is a pure stroke of luck that all four of us were placed across the hall from each other our freshman year in our dormitory hall. It is pure luck that we all bring something to the table that makes this company not only work but makes it even possible for us to be in the entertainment industry together! Many times, u get one or two people together that can make a vision like this come together but we were blessed and lucky to have four! We have been very blessed to be able to occupy this entertainment space together and grow together as not only friends but now owners of an entertainment business.
