Conversations with Whitney Borden

Today we’d like to introduce you to Whitney Borden.

Hi Whitney, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started in the Real Estate industry as an investor. My aunt who is also an investor gifted me my first real estate property at the age of 21. Early on she taught me the importance of building wealth through real estate. I used that property as a rental property and collected passive income. Early on she taught me the importance of building wealth through real estate.

Over the years, I purchased more real estate. In 2017, I got my real estate license for the sole purpose of getting access to the multiple listing service to purchase more properties. A year later, I realized my role in the real industry was far more important than my own personal gains. I decided to start actively using my license to serve others.

Just as my aunt taught me the importance of building wealth through real estate it was my duty to give that information back to my community. Fast forward to now, It has become my passion to educate and assist families with buying, selling, or investing in real estate. I take pride in impacting my community and using real estate as a tool to do so.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Like with anything else there are always challenges. Passing my real estate exam was not easy. In fact, I had to take the real estate course twice before I received my license. One of my biggest challenges was overcoming my fears of putting myself out there and marketing myself. With 99% of my leads generated from social media, I had to learn how to change my mindset surrounding fear quickly!

Being a realtor, in general, is not for the faint at heart. You have to have resilience, consistency, and dedication. Implementing the proper systems and automation to run my business effectively was a huge challenge for me as well. I learned that I can’t do everything on my own and that it is ok to ask for help.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
