Hidden Gems: Meet Kim Jones

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kim Jones.

Hi Kim, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I began my real estate career in 2006, after the birth of my first child. I had always had an affinity for beautiful homes and a heart for client service, so after a career in retail merchandising and purchasing and with the support of my husband, I made the jump and obtained my real estate license. Little did I know that 15 years later, I would be thriving with an award-winning career that has become my passion.

Real estate has been a fit for me since day one. I have a strong work ethic and am intrinsically solution-oriented. The client experience is a top priority for me. I show up for each of my customers as if it is my own home sale or purchase. I want my clients to trust I have their best interest through the entire process. The trust factor is number one. The majority of my business is referral-based. Referrals from past clients knowing they are passing my name along with confidence is such a compliment and one I take seriously. My objective is to successfully obtain my client’s goals and continue a long term relationship with them. Over the years, they have become friends and an extended family of sorts, which is one of the biggest benefits of my job.

I pride myself on being accessible to those who chose to work with me. I work seven days a week – I am always available. Fortunately, I have been able to create a “work hard, play hard” life that is a dance of quality family time, fun with friends, and top-notch client service. I don’t sleep much, however, I feel I am truly living my life!

Throughout my career, I have been consistently ranked in the top 100 Realtors in St. Louis and honored with numerous awards including being named Best in Client Satisfaction by Five Star Realtor from 2007-2020, the recipient of the Relocation Excellence Award, as well as being the top individual agent for my brokerage the past three years.

On a personal note, I am a raving fan and resident of Wildwood living who loves live music and travel. I have been happily married for 22 years to my amazing husband, Geoff, and am a mother to my two amazing boys, Jack (15) and Colin (13). My two french bulldog fur babies round out the circus that is my daily life… and I would not trade it for anything. I am looking forward to what 2022 will bring!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I started in 2006, which was not an ideal time to enter the real estate profession. I honestly think I was so naive to what exactly was happening and had such a desire to succeed, I just kept pushing forward. Due to this, I was awarded Rookie of the Year for my brokerage in my first year in the business.

As you know, we’re big fans of Kim Jones – St. Louis Real Estate Services. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I have been with the same top-ranked, locally-owned brokerage my entire career. When I began, I joined Prudential Alliance Realtors. There was a franchise transition a number of years ago from Prudential to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Alliance Real Estate. I specialize in residential real estate sales.

I am corporate relocation certified, luxury home certified, and E-certified. My commitment to providing excellent client service, attention to detail, and my integrity in this business have created a reputation that is beneficial to those I represent.

I work in the central corridor areas of St. Louis, as well as all over St. Louis County and St. Charles County and represent all from first-time home buyers to relocating executives and high-end luxury sellers. I pride myself on providing the same experience for each. I want to be there for all stages of my customers’ lives.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My biggest supporters have always been my family. My husband and children appreciate my dedication to my profession and are my biggest cheerleaders.

Having the support of an experienced broker has also been key in my success. My managing broker, Pat Malloy, has been in the business many years and has a highly regarded reputation in the industry.
