Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee Patton. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Lee Anne “LadyBling” Patton was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. She is the middle child of nine siblings and raised in poverty with no mother around (drug addict) and a father that showed favoritism and that’s just a small piece of “Life’s Pie” Lee Anne was dealt.
Lee Anne graduated from Jennings Senior High in 2002 and immediately after she moved out on her own to tackle the world, she soon realized how grimy it would be. A hustler at heart, she began working in corporate America and enrolled in college so that she could set up a career for herself. Moreover, she also indulged in the streets and its “quick money” schemes (selling prescription medications and marijuana).
Lee Anne soon quit her corporate America job to pursue hustling in the streets because it provided her with more opportunity to chase the dreams she has had as a child of being an actress/model/writer. Lee Anne soon realized her mistakes and greed for “fast cash” would catch up to her. In the next few years, she was faced with a long series of heartache, anger, and many unexpected obstacles. She was drugged, raped, and robbed. She on a number of occasions had guns put to her head and threats made on her life. Lee Anne (even though always busy) was in a marriage/long term relationship and even that incident after incident regarding her love to the streets failed.
Lee Anne faced a long spurt of mental depression after her marriage and with everyone close to her dying or distancing themselves from her dangerous endeavors, she completely broke down. She knew she was a mother (her son Bryan Anderson Jr-10 years old at the time) and things had to change but Manic Depression set in and she literally almost lost everything! She lost her marriage, used up all her savings/drug money paying bills, and dropped cash on funerals of her loved ones. Lee Anne decided to get out the streets so she could be around to see her son grow up, and was at an all-time low financially at this point.
She started seeking out help spiritually, mentally, and emotionally and even though she deals with her demons to this day, Lee Anne has been more than blessed and has had the opportunity to work with some very reputable people since her decline. Lee Anne is currently the CEO of her own Freight Logistics company (L.A.P Logistics LLC.) where she dispatches out routes for several states and even puts felons to work giving them unforeseen opportunities for growth in a society that frowns upon them in the workforce. She also dabbles still in sales but legal ones lol (Sales Manager at a consulting firm) LeeAnne is, in addition, launching her own online high-end fashion boutique- CelebPretty Boutique), and plans to start a nationwide non-profit to support the homeless and their journey back to healthy living (H.O.M.E). Lee Anne is now chasing her dreams more than ever and with her faith & life’s lessons to lead her.
She has since been in several music videos, modeled in local fashion shows, brand ambassador work, and participated in small acting parts- not to mention her love for fashion her boutique’s grand opening is coming soon! “My life is a testimony for anyone who has been in a very dark place to the point they broke and is wondering how to get up” she quotes as she is also working on a podcast that will launch soon dedicated to the African American community and Mental Awareness. “Let your pain PUSH you, Not pull you down” she also quotes as she explained getting this tattooed on her ribs after her marriage failed and she faced so many deaths at once.
And lastly “Surrender to what is, Let go of what was, and Have faith in what will be” she explains the last session of tattoo therapy as she is beginning to finally understand that all her obstacles were in preparation for her dreams to come true. God has to strengthen the weak so I won’t get to the top and jump off, she proclaims. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There are no struggles… just lessons and I have had many and still encounter them. I’ve learned that controlling your emotions, and understanding that life will ALWAYS have bumps but it’s our job to see what it is exactly we go through and why and learn from it is how I manage to still get by in peace and with joy every day.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My degrees are in Human Services and Psychology and I take pride and utilize their skills DAILY whether it be in building a rapport with my customers in Sales, or using reward recognition for my drivers so they continue to perform at their best.
I also plan on counseling and getting more volunteers like myself to contribute to my upcoming non-profit geared towards the homeless because while most facilities offer assistance (clothes, shelter, food, job placement), most do not offer help with the many emotions and circumstances that take place in their lives. People do not just choose to be homeless.
There are many underlying issues that keep them there and or out of them there. What sets me apart from the rest is my heart and the passion I have to actually help folks WITHIN. This is my gift and what I am most proud of things often look peachy from the outside aren’t inside.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Most people are seasonal. I have a HUGE heart and am used to letting relationships, distant family, and disloyal friends take away more of my energy than they are supposed to. In addition, NEVER change who you are or dim your light for others… You meant to be exactly who you are and you hinder goal accomplishment, and your true calling in life by accommodating society. BE YOU- unapologetically!
