Today we’d like to introduce you to Regina Warren.
Hi Regina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
As a servicemember, I am dedicated to giving selfless service. I am motivated by uplifting and improving self esteem in our youth. I have two goals in life: 1. Build self esteem in others and 2. Build platforms for others.
I bring military discipline, resilience, and persistence. I yearn to educate others to leverage their own unique talent. I enjoy mentoring youth via my founded non-profit organizations. I bring leadership, entrepreneurship, creative artistry, and belief. In addition to the above attributes, I am affiliated with the following organizations: Military Officer with the U.S. Army, Member of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Board member of the Indy Black Chamber of Commerce, and Co-founder of Miss Essence World Elite, Co-owner of the Taste of Indy, Executive Director of The 360° Model Bootcamp and the President of the Integrative Model Association.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve met many challenges as a female, let alone a black female. Growing up the public school system oh, I was predetermined to fail at a very early age. But I always knew that I was destined for greatness. Even though people didn’t think I would go to college I went and graduated as a National Society of Collegiate Scholars who made the Dean’s List, twice. I’ve also completed the US Army basic training when many people thought that I could not graduate. I have deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan and received my MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. Nothing was a smooth road but I learned from challenges and learned to figure it out.
How do you define success?
Success is meeting personal goals even against adversity!
