Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Ruppert.
Hi Rachel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Rachel Ruppert and I am a travel advisor with my own small business, Wanderlust Creation Travel. Travel has always been my true passion which is what lead to me starting my travel planning company. I assist my clients in planning their trips by guiding them in choosing their ideal destination, providing hotel recommendations, creating bespoke itineraries, offering destination insight and expertise, and coordinating travel arrangements. I am a well-traveled and well-connected consultant with my bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality. I have an extensive background in hospitality, including the privilege of working as a Cast Member at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL for a few years. I also studied abroad for a summer in Florence, Italy on a tourism education program.
I work with my clients ensuring their entire experience is seamless from start to finish. As their travel advisor, I act as the best travel resource and advocate for my clients by providing professional tourism industry knowledge, keeping up with the constantly changing regulations and protocols, all while demonstrating VIP level customer service. My goal is always to inspire, and to create my clients’ ideal custom travel experience.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business is never an easy task. It takes a lot of time, effort, and knowledge to build something like this from the ground up. I’m so thankful for my strong network that I have built over the years that helped boost my confidence and get my foot in the door of the tourism industry. I feel like I’ve learned from the very best and for that, I am so fortunate. It’s resulted in me accomplishing so much more than I ever imagined in the short amount of time that I have been an entrepreneur. Despite any challenges I’ve faced, I love what I do and I’ve definitely never looked back!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in crafting bespoke itineraries and building custom-tailored travel experiences. I’m very knowledgeable about destinations all over the world such as Europe, Hawaii, Disney destinations, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean. I love to work with my clients to design their ideal getaway in a way that pairs my industry expertise with their inspiration. I’m very proud of partnerships that I have with hundreds of travel brands so I can offer my clients the very best and exclusivities they can’t find anywhere else!
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I have to give a shout-out to my mentors, who are extraordinary pillars in the tourism industry. So many of the wonderful opportunities I’ve had I owe all to them! I also am beyond grateful for my husband who knows exactly how much this business means to me and has always supported my dreams no matter what. Finally, my dad has always been an inspiration of mine, as he is an entrepreneur as well. He’s one of the smartest and most hardworking people I know and I’ve always admired his drive and passion for what he does. The main reason I decided to take this leap and shoot for the stars is because of the example he sets.
