Today we’d like to introduce you to Neshanta “Chef Nesee” Larry.
Hi Neshanta, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hello everyone, my name is Neshanta Larry, always known as Chef Nesee. I’m the proud owner and founder of That’s So Good Pop-Up-Buffet and Podcast. I was born and currently reside here in the beautiful state of Missouri in the magnificent city of St. Louis. My love for cooking goes way back.
Every since I was a young girl, I have always been in the kitchen. My favorite task was to help pick the greens for Sunday dinner. Also, I enjoyed the shredding of the cheese for the Lasagna. Cooking provided me with love and allowed me to bond with the family on a daily basis. Food has been my passion for years, I simply love to cook it makes me happy, it’s very soothing to my soul and I enjoy the faces of all my satisfied customers.
I’ve catered to multiple organizations here in St. Louis such as Operation Food Search, Better Family Life, Spectrum, Urban League, Lindenwood College, St. Louis County, and City Government offices, Governor Mike Pearson, Former Mayor Lyda Krewson, and Mayor Tishaura Jones just to name a few.
I’m so grateful to have worked with everyone, this journey has been a beautiful experience.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
My culinary journey has been awesome! I’ve been in business since 2017, and everything was doing just fine, and then came the pandemic, that began in March 2020 I was able to pivot and strategically insert a formula into my business to maintain relevancy.
The road to my success has not always been peaches and cream. I will tell you about a time when I felt unsure of myself and wanted to give up. When the pandemic first began, I wasn’t sure how to network or even sell food. The world was shut down and public interactions had come to a stop. A lot of my customers had been from outside engagements and indoor planning was strictly off-limits.
I had no sales and my drive was at a dead end. So I decided to create a podcast, that would help enlighten people on food and tasty topics. Creatively enough I secured my podcast. “The That’s So Good Podcast w/ Chef Nesee,
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
