Today we’d like to introduce you to Bethany Ferguson.
Hi Bethany, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I suffered a miscarriage Mother’s Day weekend in 2013. Last year, I was finally able to get to a point in my healing/greiving process where I wanted to do something to commemorate my unborn child. Balloon decor has always been an interest of mine ever since I was a little girl and I thought it would be a great idea to create a few balloon bouquets. When I posted on my social media that I was selling my balloon bouquets for Mother’s Day, I sold out within 24 hours! I couldn’t believe it. From that point on, I figured I could sell these for all occasions–Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, birthdays, etc. In July of 2021, I got my LLC and have been slowly but surely perfecting my craft!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I haven’t run into many obstacles or challenges thus far.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in balloon garlands and balloon bouquets. I am most proud of the fact that even though I started this business less than a year ago, I have been able to obtain loyal customers and have constant inquiries about my products. My goal this year was to have at least 1 balloon garland installation per month and sale balloon bouquets for all major holidays and I’ve definitely hit the mark so far this year! I feel that my ability to accept the challenge of creating something new sets me apart from others. When clients ask me to create something that I’ve never done before, I never turn them away. I take it as an opportunity to learn something new and I appreciate their faith in me to bring their vision to life.
