Today we’d like to introduce you to Darci Roberts.
Hi Darci, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and have always been passionate about Love and seeing good people find their life partners. Growing up, I was inspired by my grandparents, who were together for 73 years, and my parents, who have been married for 37 years. I witnessed firsthand the mutual Love, support, and partnership they shared through the ups and downs of life. As a child, I remember my mom always saying to my brothers and me that the two most important decisions you make are what you do, your career; and who you choose to spend your life with, your life partner. Throughout my life, I have been a friend that enjoyed connecting with good people. Before and during the pandemic, several of my friends and family members were looking for relationships but could not find their person. Many talked about their frustrations, the challenges of dating during a pandemic, and their feelings of isolation.
Connecting people with similar needs and interests comes naturally to me. After completing extensive research, I decided to seek my matchmaking certification from New York City’s Matchmaking Institute, the only school in the world authorized to issue a certificate in the matchmaking field. I created a matchmaking and date coaching firm to help connect young professionals looking for long-term relationships but have not found their person through dating apps and socializing. Matched With Love provides date coaching and intentionally connects people looking for Love by being attentive to and understanding our client’s life goals, relationship history, and values.
I love St. Louis, and I am excited to become the first certified matchmaker to launch a boutique matchmaking firm based in my hometown. To take the firm to the next level, I teamed up with Jasmine Mauss, an experienced relationship and family therapist. Jasmine leads our dating and relationship coaching service and is incredible to work with. Before matchmaking, I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from the University of San Diego and a Master’s Degree in Media and Strategic Communications from George Washington University. My training and education helped me develop Matched With Love. I use my interpersonal skills to connect with Matched With Love clients and help them find the person they want to spend the rest of their lives with. I am grateful that I have a strong support system, which has helped me develop and grow in Matched With Love. My husband, whom I have been in a relationship with for eight years, and my family inspire me to continue spreading Love daily.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the reasons I knew I was making the right decision in developing Matched With Love is because it felt natural. There is no greater gift I can give anyone in life other than helping them find love. That does not mean it has always been easy. However, my passion has driven me to keep moving forward with this work. One of the challenges that matchmakers face is that people sometimes are not familiar with what matchmaking means because it is a unique field. Some people also think matchmaking is the same as a dating app or website, but it is very different. So, we continually educate our audience about matchmaking and start the process.

Matched With Love is a matchmaking and date coaching firm created to connect young professionals looking for long-term relationships. Matched With Love promotes its mission statement within its name. What distinguishes Matched With Love from dating apps is that we help our matchmaking clients find long-term relationships by understanding their personality traits, life goals, and relationship needs through personal assessments, detailed interviews, and date coaching sessions. Once Matched With Love understands its client’s history and goals, Matched With Love coordinates dates with potential partners that match their criteria. Our firm is located in St. Louis, Missouri. Still, it welcomes singles that live in other states to join our complimentary network to have first access to our events and the opportunity to have a coordinated date with a Matched With Love client. Matched With Love is different from traditional matchmaking because the firm was created for, and by, millennials. We also work with matchmakers across the country. I believe everyone wants deep and meaningful human connections and loving relationships in their life. On average, singles spend more than 10 hours weekly on dating apps. We want to help people save time and intentionally connect them with potential life partners.
