Conversations with Brandon Moore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Moore.

Hi Brandon, can you introduce yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My passion for music came out of nowhere; honestly, it was a blessing. I took the band in middle school, 6th grade to be exact, but I hated it, but I guess it all started when my adopted mother bought my brothers and me a piano that she found at a pawn shop. Even then, I wasn’t into music. The piano was just something to play with because we had it, plus we grew up very poor so getting it was exciting for us. I was the one who learned to play a little because I was in band class, my mother was impressed and bought me a keyboard in my 8th-grade year, and it was on that keyboard that I started my journey as a music producer.

You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
It most definitely wasn’t a smooth road. I started making beats when everything switched from analog to digital production, and my poor family couldn’t afford the software or even a computer. There was no YouTube or social media to push my brand or to help develop my craft. I had to teach myself almost everything I knew. To make beats, in my sophomore I used to skip school every day, go to Harris Stowe state college library and download FL Studios 3 -4 demos to make beats. After making beats, I put them on CDs and went home around the usual time I was supposed to arrive home. My mother never found out. Why? Because I still graduated on time. lol

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a music producer, audio engineer, and video director. I’m known for being the one-stop-shop production company in St. Louis that offers great prices for even more excellent services. What sets me apart is the fact that I do it all. I don’t just make beats meaning I’m involved with the artist from the beginning to the end of the project.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
St. Louis is a beautiful yet dangerous city. I love the food, the culture the diverse groups of people; I don’t like greed, violence, and disregard for other people’s lives.
