Today we’d like to introduce you to Erica Hickman.
Hi Erica, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My start in the travel business began with me being the planner of all my trips with family and friends. I gladly accepted the role and excitedly always initiated our destinations, hotel stay, transportation, and our agenda/itinerary. It was a job that I was passionate about and thrived at. So when they would ask, “where next” I always had a place in mind.
You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
I joined the travel business in the middle of Covid. I always thought that travel would bounce back in time, but it was a slow start.
Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a travel planner. I specialize in the Caribbean Islands because that is what I am most familiar with. I enjoy seeking a special place for my clients that caters to their interests. I am particularly fond of a couple of brands that are on the more upscale spectrum. I believe in providing my clients with excellent customer service, and I don’t want them to worry while traveling. I walk them through the whole process to ensure they have high confidence about their trip.
We love surprises, fun facts, and incredible stories. Can you share something that might surprise us?
I am very extroverted, but I also need a lot of alone time for reflection, meditating, and internalizing different aspects of life. And yes, I am super sensitive about my sh**.
