Today, we’d like to introduce you to Megan Redfern. Megan was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Denesha Cuneo.
Hi Megan, thank you so much for joining us today. We’d love for you to bring our readers up to speed – can you introduce yourself and share your story?
I have been in the medical field for more than 10 years and have experience in every edge of the spectrum. I grew up in a small town and attended a small school and a local university. After 5 years in clinical research, with 3 of those in management, I have finally found my niche and work for a large CRO in the clinical research industry. During this time, I recently finished my Masters in Clinical Research Organization and Management. In my spare time, I am the Worship Pastor at my local church and have recently released my first single. My husband and I have been married for 7 years and are foster parents. I stay very busy, but I love domestic and international travel. 70% of my job involves domestic travel to local medical facilities. I have come much farther than the small-town Alabama girl and am now a well-traveled professional.
Let’s talk about your work and career – what else should we know?
My career in the clinical research industry is challenging, stressful, and rewarding. Even though I have more than 10 years of medical experience, I learn something new daily. Whether it be a change in the global industry or a complex study, there is always a challenge to overcome. I have recently found that traveling can be stressful for myself and my family. But they all understand my job is significant. The fact that I get to be at the forefront of new technology and medications is gratifying. The most exciting time is when a new product that will help people is released. Seeing the impact on patients and knowing I played a small part in the new product’s success is impressive. I have many additional roles, like training new hires and promoting innovation for new systems. These are also rewarding as I have been recognized globally for my supporting roles.

Since I am a frequent traveler for business, I can truly appreciate Denesha’s work. She strives to get you the vacation you want and finds you the best deal and what trip best fits your personality. She gets to know her clients and is excellent at achieving their goals on trips. I knew Denesha in a previous role. I knew her personality was fun and hardworking. She truly cares about people. I admire the quality of her work and her skill in assisting others. I have worked with other travel agents, and Denesha is the best. She takes her role seriously and treats you like family. I refer everyone to her because I know she is simply the best. I also know that if some mishap occurs, I can reach out, and she will do everything she can to help me.
