Rising Stars: Meet Greg Robinson Jr of St. Louis County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Greg Robinson Jr

Hi Greg, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started back in 2016-2017 coaching/training my little brother in football. I’ve always had a love for fitness so I put two(2) of my favorite hobbies together and came up with Athletics108. Athletics108 was designed to help younger athletes discover themselves in whatever sport they play, to help them get a better feel for the game. Also Athletics108 is here to help current or past athletes maintain physical abilities. Over the years between 2019-2022 we hosted flag football games at a local high school where players where able to come out and show off their skills while also representing their school. Thanks to local young talent we been able to include student athletes from 4 or 5 different schools. In the up-n-coming years we plan to start back up the flag football games with a new format and more, updates and news will be posted on both the Athletics108 Instagram page and the Athletics108 website.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It wasn’t a smooth road honestly, the most difficult part for me was spreading the word about the games and Athletics108 as a name in general. I have social media but my target audience was the younger generation the up and coming talent, how can I get there attention to help them improve their game. The solution I came up with a provide a platform for the student athletes to put a show and make a name for themselves, which is what we provide with the flag football games, it helps the players develop character while in the field to help them better fit with their skills and talents.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
When I’m not working Athletics108 I like to stream on twitch and play games or open my laptop and create some beats. Sometimes I’ll get both at the same time and come up with something that fits the mood I’m in at the moment.i would say I’m more a jack of all trades so I wouldn’t know what I’m known for, im a overnight cook and I get compliments on that, but at the same time I’ve had parents who kids I coached in football ask me about that an if I’m still coaching, and also I went to school to be an electrician so I’ve had a couple clients with that, honestly I say it depends on where you meet me that’ll you remember me.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is a moment in life that can be repeated with the right patterns, success is what you make it honestly, your definition of success or being successful won’t be the same for me or anyone else because we all have different goals. Your goal in the gym might be someone’s warmup when they get there, it depends on the eye of the beholder on what success is. Success is defeating your expectations.
