Check Out Alexus Brown’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexus Brown.

Hi Alexus, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
Hi I’m Flawlexx

I’m a self-taught makeup artist from Saint Louis… I help women discover their inner beauty, teaching them that Beauty is from within, not just that outer layer of makeup that’s applied to the skin.

4 MAJOR lessons I learned from being in this industry was to believe in myself, patience, to never give up & I whatever energy you put into things is what you get back.

Rewinding back to 2015 a year after my child was born, I still didn’t feel quite like ME!

I was battling with childhood trauma, a declining relationship &

feeling Lost! I felt like I was lost from myself. I acknowledged my flaws then accepted them & I wanted a change. So, I picked up the makeup brushes…

I didn’t use makeup to hide who I was I used it to embrace who I was Becoming. When I would wear makeup, I would maneuver in the world differently…I would feel like… My best self!

The more my skills increased the more confident I became with ME!

In 2016 I decided to step out of my comfort zone and give other women the SAME feeling. It has been a joy to be able to service 1000000 of women from all different walks of life!

Giving them the opportunity to not only look beautiful but to FEEL beautiful as well.

For the past few years, I’ve been going deeper than the surface level of the skin when it comes to beauty. I’m redefining what beauty really is. I want women all around the world to discover the highest grandest versions of themselves and that when I Introduce #TheBestYou!!

It’s an online session curated to help women create a beauty ritual to gain confidence to move ahead in life

I’ve worked with various case study’s and myself and realized the impact makeup have on individuals. You show up differently when you have makeup on. It helps you feel like you are ready who you want to be… Your imagination is truly yours.

Use the FLAWLEXX face to become your best self while being your BEST SELF!

I talked with many of my clients & most would say that they wouldn’t stand a chance doing their own makeup.

Well, I’m here to tell you, being great is not trying something one time and expecting to be perfect. It’s about consistently putting forth the effort with the intent to become better.

I created visuals for different things I’ve learned over the course of my career, to become my best self !! along with a step-by-step guide for creating your very own FLAWLEXX face ✨

Not only will you be able to do a full face of makeup but you also have the opportunity to learn a lifelong lesson and that is to BELIEVE, believe that you can do anything you put your mind to. It’s about taking a chance with possibility & finding the beauty within! Owning your story and accepting your flaws and creating Magic!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This course of entrepreneurship has been a God-driven path for myself. Things has been extremely difficult with me transitioning from just being a makeup artist to being an “Inner Beauty Instructor” teaching individuals that confidence is a learned skill, that can be developed by anyone. I add a drop of faith with each step I take, somedays I feel as if I have the ultimate master plan others, I feel lost. What has helped me is understanding that slow progress is still progress & to enjoy the process vs just being fixated on the outcome.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m most known for my timeless makeup applications. I call them the “Superstar Glō” in fact I call my tribe “Superstars” which is someone who is confident with being themselves. Positivity runs heavily through my brand. It was never just about applying makeup to faces, but to uplift individuals to their higher self, physically & mentally. My end goal is what sets me apart from others, the long-term effects I’ll have on my clients. I want everyone to see like they’re a somebody ❤️

Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Risk-taking is necessary for growth! No risk no reward. I’ve taken many risks with developing my brand, if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

My first would be leaving my 9-5 5 years ago to pursue my career as a makeup artist. I had no idea it would take me as far as I had come. The 2nd, would be what I’m currently going through at the moment, I had to minimize my current intake of clients to reposition myself in a different market to follow through with my next mission in life … “Inner Beauty Instructor “

Another major risk is accepting the fact if you want growth you have to develop a TEAM, it’s considered a risk to me because for my entire time I’m business, I’ve done everything on my own. To let some help me feels uncomfortable, but sometimes that uncomfortableness can be great for evolving
