Check Out Ashlee Erlinger’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashlee Erlinger.

Hi Ashlee, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I began my journey into the event world right out of college and fell in love with weddings back in 2008. I launched Signed Sealed Delivered Events in 2013 since had the honor of executing some pretty fantastic weddings, meeting some pretty fantastic couples, working with some pretty fantastic vendors, and building a pretty fantastic team.

Early in my business, I hired a coach, one of the first questions she asked me is what was my five-year plan; what I saw for my future. Without hesitation, my answer was to help people, coach others, and assist them in growing their businesses.

Ironically, I launched Love Lead Inspire in 2020 five years later after teaching a few wedding planning and mentoring countless business owners. My joy has always been seeing people light up, whether it be the emotional excitement at a wedding or believing in the possibility of themselves and their biz.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There is no such thing as a smooth road. Heck, even the yellow brick road was bumpy. No matter where you are in life, you are always learning, growing, and that goes for business too.

One of the biggest struggles I’ve had, believe it or not, was imposter syndrome.

Can I really do this? run my planning business and still have time for my family? Will people want to hire me? But really it’s all about putting yourself out there, believing in your magic, and trust (+ a side of pixie dust if you are a Disney fan).

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I started Love Lead Inspire to coach others through building their wedding businesses and to educate aspiring wedding planners. I’m really proud of my coaching clients. Watching them grow is the best gift, right alongside the gift of planning weddings with the best dang group of gals out there.

I’m proud of our planning team because they are every bit the reason why SSD Events has grown and given me the space to launch Love Lead Inspire.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
The dreaded C-word has taught us to always be ready for plans B and C. It’s taught us to be kinder to one another. It’s taught us to be more present in our personal lives. It’s taught us to stand up for our business and to come together closer as a team (while maintaining that 6-foot distance). It’s taught us that zoom was a lifeline + saved us lots of time in the car. It taught us how much we could accomplish wearing sweatpants while balancing toddlers on one knee and a laptop on the other.
