Today we’d like to introduce you to Eda Anna Tegethoff.
Hi Eda Anna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
In 2014, I started pole dancing after seeing my friend, the owner of Dahlia Pole, pole dancing. I started taking classes with her then the rest felt like history. Over the 8 years, I’ve experienced many things and life. I’ve been able to help and train all types of bodies and genders in the pole. I help people achieve confidence in their lives. I love using my knowledge to help positively impact the lives of the community.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been fairly smooth?
This hasn’t been an smooth road in the least. I experienced a divorce, the death of my dog, family issues, and overall life.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in plus-size pole fitness or building a solid pole foundation in people’s bodies. I love working with beginners because they get to watch the magic of movement in the pole unfold. I’m the proudest of my past students, honestly, the ones who believed in me when I barely knew what I was doing and continue to support me. I don’t think anything sets me apart from others, and I just offer a level of experience for my students that is hard to find.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
My favorite thing to do is watch pole dancers on Instagram or YouTube. I like to find inspiration from being at local shows or helping students. My inspiration or education comes from speaking with my audience and clients. They are the ones that have shaped my style.
