Today we’d like to introduce you to Emilia Rose.
Hi Emilia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was a catalog model for 17 years. Then moved to design more which started at a very young age. I bought my 1st machine at age 9 at an auction.
So I went from model to seamstresses grew into designer… then it bloomed into education with coaching. I’m now a retail merch developer with a fabulous company on top of the fashion label. I work with models, actors, and more to advance their brands and education with my company Breakthemoldproductionsllc where we book privately but once a month do an industry portfolio builder.
So now you might catch me on a set helping guide models through a photoshoot or a product branding shoot or you might catch me in an LLC class helping young people get established.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I really try not to feed the demons. Everyone has a crazy ex, a cyberbully, a dog that died too soon, and a ghost that still haunts them.
Seriously, I struggled when I was younger to find like-minded individuals. Now I’m beyond blessed with a plethora of talented associates.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Lil bit of everything… Design merch for an awesome company in St. Louis. Creating a fashion line & mech for them.
Have my own fashion line, and production companies and am often contacted for casting.
This Summer my company is producing the 1st Fringe Org fashion show in St. Louis. we produce typically 3-5 shows a year. During Covid-19 we put a complete stop too.
I’m just me, I do wear many hats, I guess the real-world experience? Or that we are never jumping out front saying look what I did. We truly love when our clients & friends shine. We believe in a team and preach it’s okay to be a fan of your friends and business associates.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Yes, diversity your income streams and keep a backup plan or twelve. When the world closes down make sure you still have a skill set that is needed.
