Check Out Hallie Jackson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hallie Jackson.

Hi Hallie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I and my husband have been talking about doing this for a few years now. We both love coffee and have always wanted to start our own business.

We were going to start a few years ago but Covid hit and so it got put on the back burner again. Well, we finally decided last August to take the risk and start. It took a lot of hard work and dedication but it has been so worth it. We quickly grew at a faster pace than expected.

So we now have a team of girls working with us to make the dream happen and we definitely couldn’t do it as fast or efficient without that help. We are so excited to see what the future holds for On the Grind Coffee.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
So far it hasn’t been too bad considering this is our first business. We got Covid right in the middle of working on getting the business started and was on a time crunch.

So I would say that was a tough one to work through but we made it. There are things we learned along the way because it’s our first business that we have definitely taken notes for next time.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
We wouldn’t be where we are today in the coffee business without the help and mentoring from our roaster at Park Avenue Coffee. He helped train us and get started and we are forever grateful for that.
