Check Out Jonah Munzer’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonah Munzer. 

Hi Jonah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started @stlfoodiegram after the start of @stlcoffeegram as a way to continue to connect with the St. Louis community through a way that so many people connect, through food and gathering. I started the page as a way to share my personal experiences in the city through food. During this time, I never thought it would grow so much and lead me to meet so many other like-minded people like me. This in turn led me to start my own STL podcast “Tales From The Arch” where I will be talking to local business owners, artists, and entrepreneurs about their experiences in the city and within their own lives. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Creating a brand is never easy it’s been hard sometimes to keep up with events and meetups but at the end of the day, it’s all-in good fun, and the sharing and creating a community big or small is beneficial for so many people. As this is not my full-time job it can get hard to keep up with everyday life as well as the foodie lifestyle, but it’s always fun! 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I work in Digital Marketing as my full-time gig, but my passion is bringing people together and sharing stories. Capturing stories through food is just one way I can share stories. Also capturing stories through audio is another way I find is great to share these stories. I always say if one story can inspire someone or introduce someone to something they otherwise wouldn’t have experienced that is a positive impact. I am proud at the community I have established and continue to grow, creating a safe space for all people to come together and celebrate togetherness through food, stories, and experiences. 

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
A lot of people are surprised by my age, I know it seems small, but at 25 I have extensive experience in marketing and brand development and a love of meeting people and learning about others and their experiences and lives. I know this small food account has created so many friendships and other creative outlets for me with so many more in the pipeline.
