Maddox, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Maddox Perry, just turned 11 years old and I’m one of the top basketball players in the country for 5th grade. I have over 20k followers between my Instagram and TikTok. I’ve been nationally known since Kindergarten. I’m known all across for my dribbling and shooting ability. I have one of the best handles in the world at my age. My goal is to be the best point guard to ever come from St. Louis
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No it has not with such notoriety at a young age, it comes with a lot of hate, mainly from adults. My uncle has taught me to smile through it all and remember everyone who doubts me. I work hard and know that God has my back through everything
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a 5th grade Student Athlete at Kipp Inspire academy. I’m known for my ability on the court. I’m most proud of my progress, I work very very hard and every day the game of basketball gets easier for me. My hard work is what sets me apart from others. Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Working hard and keeping faith in Gods plan for me is most important to my success
