Check Out Violet Deardorff’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Violet Deardorff.

Hi Violet, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born and raised in Northern California, and completed most of my schooling there, although didn’t start modeling until much later. I always wanted to be a singer/performer, and started in gymnastics. I had to Quit gymnastics when I was 16 due to some heart issues that would later lead to an Ehlers-Danlos syndome which put a kind in the performing career.

I started modeling in Los Angeles when Covid hit.

Most of the music venues shut down and I couldn’t do what I was wanting to.

Modeling quickly became my passion. It’s brought me so much joy and led to making some of the most incredible relationships.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Moving cross-county after Covid hit was a hard part of life or me. I really enjoyed Los Angeles and it was just too much with everything happening there, so I relocated to St.Louis.

Ehlers Danlos syndrome is another small part of my life that has made me who I am. EDS is a disability that affects the way my body creates collagen, which is a major building block in connective tissues. My EDS is manageable, and I want to show that even when struggling you can live the best life, and any life you wish to live.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I model! I’ve been modeling for over 3 years now and I can’t believe how incredible it’s been.

I prefer high Fashion and editorial shoots, but am open to earning all aspects of modeling. I’ve been published over 10 times including two covers, that being said I’d love to have more. I love bringing the energy to a shoot and I cannot imagine what life would be like without all the amazing photographers that I’ve gotten to work with. I’ve learned so much from photographers and models. Purchasing Coco Rochas “study of pose” may have been the best choice for my career, teaching my so much about my own body and movement. I am still learning and growing in everything I do, and I try and make every job the best job yet.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I’d love to get signed at an agency outside of St.Louis. New York is a closer goal, but for long term, international. I’m in love with the work in Paris and Milan.

I’ve traveled a bit for modeling, but never outside of the United States.

Working as a full time model is my absolute dream In life and I will keep pursuing this until I make it.
