Community Highlights: Meet Sarah Feldscher of Virtual Desk

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Feldscher.

Hi Sarah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started working at 15 with my first job and worked full time through college. I knew I wanted to work in healthcare so I started seeking out healthcare-specific roles. I finished my education and moved up in the healthcare world, I ended up working in managerial roles for the last ten years. I have always dreamt of starting my own company and right before the onset of Covid, I decided to make that happen. I initially wanted to start a home health company, Covid ended up eliminating that dream and I had to go back to the drawing board. During this time, I had been helping friends, family and general acquaintances with social media graphics, website design, newsletters and more behind the scenes and had been getting more requests to assist. That is when it hit me – I needed to help with behind the scenes items! My degree was in Business Administration and I knew that my hands on leadership roles would make me a great fit to assist others in growing their business. I now spend my days assisting other business owners with day to day items – I love knowing that my work leads to the formation of my client’s dreams!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely been a little rocky. As I mentioned, I ended up completely leaving an idea I had in my mind for years. I was so adamant that it be a company based in healthcare that I was missing the opportunities that were presenting themselves to me.

That resulted in my closing a business and starting a new one right as Covid really started to hit the country hard. This made networking, marketing and just connecting with the community very tricky. Online events, promotions and speaking opportunities were really the only places you were able to make connections and just chat with other business owners.

I am thankful for starting in such an odd time in our history, it forced me to be creative and resourceful right away. I feel as though that resiliency has lead me to be a strong advocate & resource for the business owners I work with today.

Fulfilling each day. Every day is different and presents new challenges – my goal has always been to go home every day knowing that I put in a full day’s effort. This is very important for my own self-growth but also the growth of those who trust me with their needs.
