Conversations with Raj Singh

Today we’d like to introduce you to Raj Singh.

Hi Raj, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my career in 2001 with private parties, weddings and club parties in Los Angeles, CA. I started off part-time and as a hobby until in 2012 I realized that I should convert my hobby into a full-time profession. It took me a few years until I juggled between my job as an HR Manager in an IT Consultancy and worked on weekends and holidays living my passion working on music and Djaying in events and parties. At one time, I started realizing that I have to choose between my job and my passion and I chose my passion of music and gave it my whole self. I started working very hard on music and provided exceptional services to my clients. Currently, I provide services nationwide and I am also expanding to go international. Apart from doing parties and weddings, I have also started following my passion of creating music videos. I direct and produce Music Videos. I have also worked with numerous urban artists and have conducted shows, concerts and live events. I keep myself motivated with new things that emerge in the market and introduce them to my clients. I have the latest equipment and effects for any event.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, the road was not so smooth for me, the transition between the job and my passion was definitely difficult. I was working seven days a week without any day off so I could fulfill both things. Before my job, I had a business which was not meant for me since I was not interested in it. It came with huge losses. It took me long time to realize that I should just live my Passion. But once I realized that there was no looking back.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a DJ, Music Video Director and Music video producer. My specialization are the Weddings, I make sure that no one leaves the dance floor when I am performing. I believe that Djaying is an art and when I am in my zone, I make sure that everyone is happy, smiling and dancing.

I am known for the Best South Asian Wedding DJ in Midwest. I have been awarded many times as the perfect wedding DJ.

I am most proud of my accomplishments through my passion. When I see my clients happy and satisfied with my services that moment is the proudest moment for me.

Providing the best quality services sets me apart from others. I take personal interest in each and every event that comes to me and create a personalized plan for each of my clients.

I keep myself updated with the latest trends in technology by studying and researching more about it.
