Exploring Life & Business with Austin Glaeser of G&A Productions, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Austin Glaeser.

Alright, thank you for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us how you got started?
I started doing landscape photography around 10 years old before I started doing video! I found a video camera that my mom had lying around and decided to attempt to make a video with my cousin! I edited the video on my PlayStation 3 and fell in love with it! Ever since then, I’ve pursued my newly found passion for filmmaking! I graduated from Webster University with a BA in Film, Television, and Video Production! Shortly after that, I started a media company with my wife called G&A Productions, LLC, and I’ve been making videos ever since!

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Learning how to manage a business was a pretty big hurdle to overcome! Learning how to market and budget a business without experience was an eye-opener! I have been thankful that I have such a vast support group of family and friends that help push me into making more fantastic art! I have no idea where I would be without my family and friends!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
G&A Productions specializes in anything media! We are always open to tackling new projects! We mainly specialize in music videos, but we’ve done almost everything under the sun! Anything from talking head videos, managing social media, real estate, short films, and more! We are very proud of our music videos because they all have a different story and style than most! Getting clients involved is something that sets us apart from others! Making sure that the client’s story is told in an exciting and eye-catching way is very important to us!

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Plan less and always keep an open mind! Sometimes the best shots are the unplanned ones! It also keeps the creative juices flowing! I’ve also learned to keep an open mind! Sometimes what you may think is the best option when it isn’t! Creating videos and films is a collaborative effort, and someone may have some creative ideas!
