Exploring Life & Business with Nicole Francis of Nikki’s Jams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Francis.

Hi Nicole, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Starting a jam business came from a joke made at work with my coworkers one day. We were talking about the music playing at our work, and someone had said, “this song is Nikki’s jam.” Jokingly, I replied “what if I started a jam business called, “Nikki’s Jams” and incorporated music with it?” And it simply snowballed from there into what it is today.

I have always loved creating charcuterie boards for small gatherings with friends, and I have always felt that jam is what tied everything together. So, when I began to experiment with creating unique flavors and I simply fell in love with how fun the process was and how it changed the game for my charcuterie boards going forward.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Navigating how to run a business and how consuming that can be was, of course, somewhat of a struggle at first. But thankfully I have been blessed with an amazing support system that has graciously helped and guided me along the way.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Nikki’s Jams creates jams that blend music and flavor into every jar. We do this by tying our jams to different styles of music and including unique, yet classic playlists for each flavor of jam.

We believe that you can enhance any gathering with three key things: Good food, good music, and good people. Because of this, we have created a product that enhances any dish while also providing unique playlists that enhance the ambiance of any gathering.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My grandmother was always a believer in sweet treats, and she and my grandfather were both talented musicians. So my favorite childhood memories are ones where my family would come together to enjoy each other while appreciating good food and listening to my grandparents play for us.
