Life & Work with Savannah & Sienna Jones

Today we’d like to introduce you to Savannah & Sienna Jones.

Hi Savannah & Sienna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and how you started MoxiiLabsSTL.
Savannah- Well, we really like to order Shirley Temples and like the Blue Lagoon drinks at restaurants. They just make us feel fancy and we like that they are fizzy and sometimes have cherries or even cool candies. The only thing is our mom doesn’t like us drinking a lot of soda.

Sienna- So we kinda found like a hack… we know that CO2 can kinda turn juice to soda… like makes them fizzy.

Savannah- Yeah it’s “Naturally Carbonates” drinks. We also really love Science and everything “Science-ey”… So we mixed our interest in that with wanting to make cool drinks “like” in the restaurants but… COOLER and something STL hasn’t seen before. So we came up with our name Moxii Labs and our mom gifted us our LLC, then we came up with a bunch of flavors but only launched 5 for now, our mom helped us come up with “science-ey” names for all of them.

“It’s Just Rocket Science”(it has a whole bomb pop), “Marine Biologist”, “Paleontologist”, “Botanist”(our spin on a Shirley Temple), and “Astronomer”. They all have candy that matches the drink’s name.. like the paleontologist has dino gummies and stuff, well the “It’s just rocket science” doesn’t have candy because it comes with a bomb pop that’s the most popular because everyone wants the bomb pop.

We launched our Mocktails on July 6th of this year (2022) in our mom’s Cakery, its like a Dessert Shop and we sell them there for now, but we really want to open up our own store by next year and our mom and dad think we are off to a good start. We really want to be in like a mall or like the food hall with all the different food places downtown.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Savannah: It’s a smooth road mostly because we have our parents to help, they are always in the store with us.

Like one day we ran out of cups and our mom just let us use some from her store… and when we run out of stickers they got us stickers that we just can just print as many sheets as we like and they are still waterproof.

So it’s not THAT hard because we have a lot of help, but we do see how much it actually cost to buy all this stuff, and then it’s not as much as you would think left over.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Sienna- “Well everything is still kinda new, but we are proud of how well the drinks do every day. People love to take pictures with them and tag us, people have asked us to do like parties for them and I really think its cool that adults like the drinks too and they think they are cool.

Savannah- What sets us apart from others is that nobody else does this in STL like our mocktails with CO2 out of town but those places didn’t offer lights in your drinks, glow straws or crazy straws… and we have all of that. Nobody has that but us.

What do you think about happiness?
Savannah- Hanging out with my family after the store closes on a Saturday, they are always so busy so we can’t wait to close at 5, and we go get snow cones and hang out… then the store is closed Sunday and Monday so we spend time together those two days too.

Sienna- Being a Child of God and when I go to water parks, those are pretty fun.

This is truly an inspiring story. The support and encouragement of their family is what it’s all about! They are guiding them to an even brighter future. This is Black girls rock in living color ❣️
