Life & Work with Taylor Evans

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Evans.

Hi Taylor, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello! I am a part-time Influencer on social media. Full-time I work as a Finance Director. Fashion has always been something that I have loved; I love being able to express myself by what I am wearing. It truly is a form of art. I had always wanted to take that to the next level and start blogging/influencing. During COVID, I had more time on my hands and finally thought to myself, “why not start now”. The rest is history!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wouldn’t say that it has been a smooth road. There is a lot more to influencing that others do not see. Landing collaborations with brands can be difficult. You spend a lot of time shooting content, coming up with captions, and posting everything on multiple platforms. While it hasn’t been the smoothest road, it sure has been a fun one! I’m proud that I finally took that leap to do something that I love. I always came up with reasons not to start and I finally decided to go all in. The biggest thing was the mindset “what will people think” or “will they support me.” What sets me apart from others, I think, is that I do my own thing. I don’t focus on what others are doing- that’s their own platform- we are all different! I put together looks and work with brands that truly represent me and what I am about.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I Influence part-time and obviously would love to turn it into a full-time job someday. It definitely can be a challenge balancing it with my full-time career, but the more that I do it the easier it has gotten for me. I’m currently focused on growing my following and landing bigger collaborations.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was the biggest tomboy. I played basketball and softball and played with the boys during recess. It wasn’t until my Senior year of High School that I really became interested in fashion, hair, and makeup. Personality-wise, I have always been a big goofball. Laughing and having fun is the most important thing to me! If you aren’t having fun, you’re doing something wrong in life!
