Life & Work with Veronica Smith of St. Clair

Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Smith.

Hi Veronica, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, was extremely  rewarding. I started photography when I was stationed in Annapolis with my husband at the Naval academy, and he was in the Navy. Well, once we moved here and had our kids, I started working with a previous owner of St. Louis Ambush (she previously owned it). After being able to shoot photos for them away, I started to go the more independent route and actually work with liquid assets. I started shooting concerts and even photos for a few artists and a music producer. I now have Thm photography and work even more with liquid assets.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been fairly smooth?
Some struggles along the way were getting a chance to shoot photos and see how competitive it is.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a photographer specializing in sports and concert photography. I’m known for being a goal-getter and active learner. Taking my kindness and not letting anything get me down shows people I’m a team player, and I don’t follow everyone being competitive with one another. When I did my first wedding, the owner of gPortfolio), it was a great feeling because it got me out of my comfort zone and helped me become a better photographer. I also went above and beyond my photographer position and showed I care for the people I shoot photos for. I truly see my clients like family. Being an independent photographer in a new city I’ve got to interview people and shoot photos for people like Ginuine , Koko Bridges, Chingy, Tony Patrico, Phil Assets, Devon Alexander and more. I’m beyond grateful for everyone who has given me an opportunity and I hope to continue to work with them in the future. I also get to shoot and learn with femme flicks and that is something I appreciate so much especially being in a new city.
So maybe we end by discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is my privacy for my family, kindness, and trustworthiness.Things can get accomplished if you can’t cheer on your family/friends/acquaintances’ successes and appreciate the people you have in your circle.  We all have to get along with one another. I’m who I am because of my family.
