Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Adams.
Hi Alexandra, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Realized I did NOT want a 9-5 job when I was interning throughout college so I wanted to start something that was 100% my own. I’ve always had a passion for videography so I started creating wedding videos in 2014. A few years later, I began shooting photography as well and now we offer both services. We create content for small and local businesses, weddings, events and families. I could not ask for a better job, it’s the best!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Obviously there has been so many learning curves and experiences throughout our seven years of being in business, but overall I am so grateful for the challenges as I have grown immensely from them. One of the hardest things as a business owner is finding balance between work life and personal life. It is so easy to throw yourself into your work when you are so passionate about it but I’ve found I am much more efficient if I pace myself throughout the year.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Birdeye Media?
At Birdeye Media, we offer photography and videography services to cover anything from weddings, brands, families and events. As much as we love working with small businesses, we adore getting to know our client’s families and documenting huge life moments such as engagements, newborn sessions and rehearsal dinners as well. At this time, we work mostly in the St. Louis area, but we also travel several times a year for certain projects and events.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The past few years have taught me that you really can do anything that you put your mind and passion into. It is so important to follow your gut and find the projects that bring you joy to keep the fire alive.
