Meet Alexandria Cozzolino

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandria Cozzolino.

Alexandria, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my food account back in October of 2017. At first, it was used for fun, but now I am trying to turn it into a side business. I want to be able to share food and where good places are to eat!

In 2021, I had a mental breakdown which caused me to lose all my skills. I had severe anxiety and depression to the point I didn’t know what my reality was. However, through gaining professional help I am still recovering and I like to say I’m back to my normal self!

In May of 2021, I started going back to my food account. At first, I was stuck at around 130 followers. However, in 2021, I started engaging with followers and joined food groups and my page blew up! I was beyond happy that people were enjoying and engaging with my content.

This page means so much to me and I’m so lucky to have it the way it is!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
From 2017 to 2021, I was stuck with 130 followers I found it very hard to grow my page. I noticed that I would get some interactions but nowhere that I wanted to be. I find that I also struggled with what to post and really had to learn what it is my audience wants to see. It’s truly a learning curve I’ll always remember.

Another struggle was from December 2020-May to 2021, I was not posting due to sickness. It was so hard to stay away from my account during that time. However, I found a completely new way to engage with people on my page. I joined food groups and changed my approach and my page grew!

I also got a couple of sponsorship which was really great to have!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
In terms of my food account, I’d like to say my line of work is professional blogging. I specialize in food photography and the promotion of food!

I am most proud of being able to share my eating experience with people. It makes me so happy that there are like-minded people that want to engage on my page!

What sets me apart from the others is that I don’t stick to one cuisine. I notice that some people stick to one type of food. However, with me, I like to take pictures of all food I have tried.

Also, I don’t only post where to eat, I blog what my family makes as well!

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Something else I would like to share is that it’s important to do what makes you happy! Even if you feel stuck keep working at it and someday it will pay off!!
