Meet Charlie X

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charlie X.

Hi Charlie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I always had passion for music as long as I could remember. From playing instruments early on, playing with pots and pans with my sister, and to even writing. I didn’t really get a real taste for it until I got into high school and took music tech and audio engineering. When I discovered these outlets and different programs, I knew it was something there.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Each aspect of this journey has challenges from learning and mastering different techniques, and discovering your sound and place in the game. I would say the main one is building the confidence for yourself. You start off with no back support or following and you have to show and convince people how good you really are through your work which a lot of times come out worse than good but you have to learn to dust yourself off and keep the good and learn from the bad. It’s a process that is not for the week minded

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a producer/artist/writer from the great city of St. Louis I specialize in Hip-hop/rap. I’m proud and grateful for all of my learning experiences, my progression, and the things I learned in this business. What stands me out from others are my sound and content. Music in this day and age I believe are gimmicks and people reaching for what can get them the greatest amount of clout or views on social media. I speak from the heart and give MY truth or the truth of the world which I feel is lacking in today’s age.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I have my own podcast with the homies you should check out! Haha tap in with STLiens but seriously though Reddit forums with different creators is always great to be around and learn from. YouTube comes in so freaking clutch and Google’s search bar as well anytime I need an answer on something they’ll come through for me.
