Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamal Reid
Hi Jamal, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started small comedy skits during my highschool years. Everyone said I was naturally funny in that craft but never took it seriously. Then one day I’ve found out I love talking in front of large crowds while giving a disquisition of a specific subject at hand. By combining your everyday life while being real with others with a hint of personality with a hint of exaggeration you get a comedian.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The hardest challenge is to realize that being consistent in entertainment is constant effort. Everyday people listen to music, watch tv, play videos ect. By putting out new material you need to realize you’ll have times where your video/ music will be trending while other days it won’t blow up as much. Being consistent is key to develop your craft.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a father of three boys, a comedian, actor, model, handyman and a community activist. I love helping individuals excel in their passion. I am known for doing comedy shows, short films , hosting multiple events and helping out in the community quite frequently. What sets me apart is I support everyone no matter who it is. In order to get where you need to be, be supportive of others. You never know who you could meet and who could help you.
How do you think about luck?
I always say “take the time out your day and pray and pray and pray”. Always putting god first helped me over come many things to the point I didn’t know how to manage everything. Things may not always go right but things won’t go left, always have a sharp mind and prepare for the best in any situation .
