My name is Tarria Clark, and I’m originally from Memphis, TN. My journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s one of perseverance, resilience, and relentless growth. I started my entrepreneurial path in 2010, but the real turning point came when I moved to St. Louis, MO, with my cousin and our kids in an old truck. It wasn’t just a move – it was an escape. I was running from domestic violence with my sons, determined to create a better life for them and myself.
St. Louis welcomed me with open arms, and I’ll never forget that feeling. I didn’t have much, but I had my hustle, my faith, and a burning desire to succeed. I started my tax business, and it didn’t take long before I met clients who trusted me, believed in me, and referred others to me. I learned quickly that success isn’t just about what you know – it’s about building relationships and creating opportunities.
From there, I realized that my hustle wasn’t just for me; it was for the women out there like me – single mothers, women starting over, people looking for a way out and a way up. I committed myself to teaching others how to get started, just like I did. I wanted to show them that even when life feels impossible, you can pivot, hustle, and rebuild.
Over the years, I’ve expanded my vision and my businesses. I now own VIP Business Solutions, a full-service consulting firm where we’ve helped over 100 aspiring entrepreneurs lay a solid foundation for their businesses. On top of that, I’ve been fortunate to own and operate two dump trucks and two semi-trucks, adding another layer of stability and opportunity for my family.
But let me keep it real – it hasn’t been a straight path. I’ve fallen more times than I can count. I’ve faced setbacks, doubters, and moments where I thought I wouldn’t make it. But every time, I got back up. I stayed hungry. I stayed humble. I kept learning, educating myself, and finding ways to level up.
My mission is simple: I want to assist more business owners in gaining the financial education they need to thrive. I know firsthand how much our community lacks access to this kind of knowledge, and I’m determined to fill that gap. It’s not just about creating wealth – it’s about building legacies.
I’m also proud to say that I’ve built businesses that my sons can now be a part of as they grow older. Seeing them work in something I started from scratch is one of my greatest achievements.

It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve faced domestic violence, starting over in a new city with little to my name, and the challenges of being a raising two sons while building a business. I’ve fallen countless times—whether it was financial struggles, moments of doubt, or failed attempts at growth. But every fall taught me a lesson, and every setback fueled my determination to succeed. Through it all, I’ve stayed focused on the bigger picture: building a legacy for my family and empowering others to do the same.

The most important quality to my success is grit—that unshakable hustle and determination to keep going, no matter what life throws at me. It’s about having the vision to see the goal, the heart to stay focused, and the drive to outwork every obstacle in my way.
It’s that “I’m not giving up” mentality that’s carried me through every struggle and setback. Staying hungry for growth, being open to learning, and knowing when to pivot has been key.
