I am very good at connecting individuals and families with resources but especially for the aging “elderly” population.
What are you most proud of? I am most proud of my tenacity and perseverance. As, I am a product of the St Louis Public School System and Foster Care System. I am the middle child of 7, The first to complete high school and only one to complete a college education thus far. I am very proud of how far I’ve come through the many obstacles that I have faced. Im excited to see what God has in store for me and those connected to me.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth road but I will say it’s been a learning road. I have learned so much about myself and business during my entrepreneurial journey. Some of the struggles I’ve faced and continue to work on is self motivation and consistency when business isnt booming.
Me working my 9-5 plays a huge role in my emotion meter when it comes to being consistent and motivated. I have to remind myself daily of my goals and make my business my priority, no questions and no excuses!
Which means at least 5 days of the week, I get off the clock to get right back on the clock to work towards my dream. Which at times to be honest, I still fall short.
I find that it can be so easy to encourage others on a daily basis while finding it difficult at times to give myself the same grace and inspiration.
However l, I still remind myself daily, that nothing worth having is created or built overnight.
What sets me apart from others? I don’t believe in what if’s for starters. I live a life of right now! I try my hardest to live in the now, knowing that I can’t get back yesterday and that tomorrow is not promised. I truly value the now, each moment good or bad.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
No doubt, I believe my faith has provided me with the success that I have and that I will continue to have in whatever I do. I believe Jeremiah 29:11-13. I believe we are not created to fail but we are created to succeed with the gifts that God has provided each one of us. I also believe my empathy has provided me the ability to meet people where they are instead of trying to bring them where I am. It’s very important that I treat others how I want to be treated and not how they treat me.
Thank you and your team so much for allowing me to participate in this interview, I do truly appreciate it!
