Today we’d like to introduce you to Hailee Smith.
Hi Hailee, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Previously, my business was Sunless Tans by Hailee, last December I transitioned into Sunset Skin. I have added facials, chemical peels, and customized skincare regimens. I have had the most amazing time getting to know new clients and helping them achieve the skin they want!
I found that during the pandemic I missed seeing my clients. I knew I wanted to help them in more ways than just spray tans. In January, I enrolled at Skin Institute! I have never looked back, my clients are my world. It might sound sappy, but I am honored that they trust me with their skin.
The city has been beyond welcoming to Sunset, I am so excited to see what Sunset Skin grows to in year 2.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A road is never smooth, there are speed bumps, cracks, and the occasional pothole. All of the obstacles have made me work harder for Sunset Skin. There isn’t a handbook on how to set your hours, how many products to carry, or what system to use. Everything is a learning experience. Almost a year in I am still figuring out, it’s part of the fun.
A friend told me, that the problems are good, that I am lucky to have the problems.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have been providing custom spray tans since 2015, it is my most popular service and one of my favorites! Since expanding to more skin treatments my main focus is to give the client glowing skin. A spray tan, a facial, or a chemical peel will leave my clients brand new. My goal is to listen, assess and help them achieve the skin they want.
Skincare and treatments are a luxury, I want every person to have the option for glowing skin. I provide exceptional skincare treatments for everyone’s budget. Everyone deserves to feel luxury.
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The number one lesson, have quality people in your corner. I have an amazing support group that will help me do spa laundry, hang new shelving or just listen to my day. Without them, I wouldn’t have made it this long.
