Rising Stars: Meet Kelly Pratt-Kreidich

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Pratt-Kreidich.

Hi Kelly, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
We started our business, Pratt + Kreidich Photography, after Kelly graduated from Webster University. We have worked with many national brands, such as ABInBev, Lowe’s, Nature Sweet Tomatoes, and VisittheUSA.com. Our work has been featured in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, The London Evening Standard and People Magazine. What we are most known for is our Dancers & Dogs project, which we started in 2017.

The project combines professional dancers and adorable pups in the studio to create beautiful images. Dancers & dogs went viral in 2018, reaching over 40 million viewers worldwide, and the Dancers & Dogs book was released in 2019. This project turned into to so much more than we ever expected. We started it as just a fun little experiment, and it came to mean so much more to us and to people around the world. We hear every day how our work gives people a smile when they needed it, and that means everything.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Professional photography is always a “feast or famine” kind of job. You have times when you re extremely busy and times when it seems like no jobs are coming in. Obviously, the pandemic was and has been hard on our business since companies have to be so careful when planning photoshoots.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Our photographic look is often described as clean, sharp and vibrant. Our goal is to capture subjects in a very natural and comfortable way, bringing out their unique personality and style while still creating drama and visual interest. We specialize in working with people and animals, particularly in the realm of fitness/dance. We also love to travel and do travel-related assignments.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Our Dancers & Dogs, and new Dancers & Cats, 2022 calendars will be available later in the year!
