Today we’d like to introduce you to Vincent E. Sargent.
Hi Vincent, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
In 2002, I was young and really had no general career choices I wanted to pursue other than computers. I worked under a chef named Josh who saw my work ethic but knew I was rough around the edges. Previously, I’ve been in some trouble he gave me a book by Chef Jeff Henderson and ignited the passion that gave me the career I have today.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing work will ever be smooth. I invest my own money so definitely, that will always be a challenge and really just not ever getting discouraged and remembering why you started but I think that goes for multiple things.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I love being creative but what sets me apart is my versatility and letting the client create the menu with me and please them as to their liking from traditional dishes of all ethnicities.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Open-mindedness and the ability to work with all walks of life just being there for people and trying to let kids know food can be a hustle career passion as well. Whatever you wanna make it to keep stomachs full and smiles on faces.
