Check Out Cearra Jenkins’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cearra Jenkins

Hi Cearra, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Growing up in St. Charles , I was always looking for more. I always knew I was destined for greatness. My parents were always very supportive of me and anything that I wanted to do. As I got older in my early 20’s I because a licensed esthetician and went into business with my mom, opening up our very own spa ; Naturo Health Solutions & Ageless Spa. After being involved in the Miss Mo USA pageant , I realized I also loved being in front of the camera. It was like an instant confidence booster. I began modeling not too long after the pageant and became a freelance model. Over the years , being an esthetician and owning a spa has opened so many doors. I’ve had a chance to teach aspiring esthetician students, expand the business and be involved and active in the community helping young girls see their beauty from within. Bring a freelance Model has also created some amazing collaborations with brands like Anastasia Beverly Hills , modeling during Miami Swim Week the last two years in a row and much more ! None of this would be possible without my parents support. My father passed away in October 2022 , so it can be bitter sweet as life continues on as I wish he were here to see it all. I have my mom and my older here to help continue to cheer me on in life

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The biggest challenge for me has been losing my dad unexpectedly October 2022. Earth shattering doesn’t even begin to describe the pain. Being someone that is constantly on the go , a business owner , model, social media influencer it’s hard sometimes to just keep moving forward. I have battled stages of depression during my grief. I don’t always get checked on because being active on social media gives people the idea that “ you’re okay, at least you’re posting “ that was actually said to me ..

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
So I can’t talk about one without mentioning the other. My first love is being a licensed esthetician now for 12 years. And owning a spa , Naturo Health Solutions & Ageless Spa along side my mom Dr. Jenkins. My mom and I are a dynamic duo. We are a team. Our goal is to heal you from the inside out so that you may operate at your best self! Being a model ties into this because I was not someone that was always 100% as confident as I am now. I have met thousands of women that mention their internal struggles and when I mention that I model it’s always cool to see how shocked they are ( in a good way ). I’ve been blessed to have these gifts to show other women that it’s okay to be sexy. It’s okay to be confident from within. Ultimately when we feel good about ourselves we look good externally as well. Last year I spoke to a group of young girls about self care and self esteem. We did mini facials and made vision boards with positive reassurance. I walked in Miami swim week and recently have done PR shoots with Anastasia Beverly Hills and Ardell just to name a couple. My mom and I were also just featured on Fox 2

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
For those that are looking to start their business in the esthetic industry, my advice is to simply start. Create a solid business plan and start. When you are passionate about something the clients will fall into place. Also , consistency is key ! Be consistent with following up with clients after their appointments and posting on social media

My advice to an upcoming freelance model is don’t be afraid to put yourself out there because of a No” I went through being told no before I got a yes. And also sometimes a no or no response could simply mean not right now. I never would have thought I’d be given the opportunity to do some of the things I’ve done but I realize had I not taken the chance I would have always wondered “ what if “

Never be that person that says “ I should have or what if I had ..” just do it !
